Error diffusion with serpentine scanning. Distributes quantization error across neighboring pixels for smooth gradients.
Bill Atkinson's variant used on the original Macintosh. Spreads error to six neighbors with reduced total diffusion.
Ordered dithering using a Bayer threshold matrix. Predictable, repeating pattern with configurable matrix size.
